N14 ecm swap?

    I have a N14 500hp and a N14 525hp are the ecms interchangeable or should I have my 500 remapped and if remapping is the answer does any have codes and parameters for the remapping process I just got the truck it was a horse hauler I however haul 100k + every day just looking to bump it up a little bit it seems to fall on it's face at the slightest incline the fan kicks on only when it's over 210 and the jake doesn't work if the cruise is on

    I know that it is all just a matter of hooking the computer up to it which I have I. I'm just not sure what to do?

    The 525 is a Celect Plus ecm which has the ability to run the engine brake while in cruise control. 525 horsepower is the max power rating & is only available on the Celect plus ecm. The 500 may or may not be a Celect plus. 500 horsepower is the max rating for the Celect ecm. The Celect ecm does not allow engine brakes while in cruise control. I'm not certain of the year they went to Celect plus but think it's around 1996. The ecms are not interchangeable. The connectors into the ecm are different. The 500 shouldn't be a dog. I'd check the intercooler for leaks & check fuel pressure. If the 500 is a Celect plus, the engine brake in cruise can be easily turned on & programmed for how many mph over the set speed it engages. If the ecm controls the fan, the temp at which it turns on can not be adjusted.

    The jake while In cruise is a setting that I am certain it worked fine when I got the truck until my old driver took it upon himself to play with my computer and now it is all messed up just trying to revert what he did and get some power my 425 will walk all over the 500
