On the right side of the acc drive pulley is a 5/16 square drive plug. Take it out and look for timing marks to line up at A. If that is good you might try that. One of the two cylinders for that letter should have the injector plunger depressed. That is the one firing. If you get out of wack it can cost a lot of money. Do not apply excessive pressure to turn the engine if it gets tight. If it is tight due to compression that will bleed off in a bit. Then turn it a little more and waite. If anything seems odd do not try to start it.

Yeah I think they got real tight this last year. I couldn’t get two loose at once. So what my local guys suggested me was to check the next cylinder in the firing sequence and check for one of those to be loose. And sure enough I was able to get started off that.
I already powered it on. It sounds pretty good. I showed the video to my local shop owner who’s a journey man mechanic and he said “it sounds like a N-14”xsetra Thanks this. -
Ok so the numbers are in. I’m back from a 3400 mile trip and these are my mpg’s Per fill up.
7.2, 6.7, 7.7, 7.3, 6.9, 7.2 = 7.2 average
Which is up from my 6.3 average in the month prior to the overhead adjustment. My loads weighed 15k, 19k, 19k and 9k. So not heavy loads, but I did run 1-81, I-76, ran the back roads from Louisville to Muncie IN.
I wanted to wait to post the video until I got back. So here it is. The video is pretty good but to the seasoned mechanics watching me adjust the first valve might be painful because of me fumbling to get a technique down. But by the 3rd and 4th adjustment, I was developing a technique and got a better handle on what I was doing.
Jakes feel way more restrictive too. Thanks for the help y’all! See ya
NO EGR Thanks this.
