Which one are you getting? I know Borg Warner is a good popular choice. Costs about $800

Yep guy at Schneid in Laffayeyte Indiana has a Borg for 630 I believe he said. The Holset one was 1100. He said the Borg is better.

Check your air filters if you have a filter minder no more than 19 inches. It could be your valve seals or guides. It could be an improperly seated injector. Or it could be the classic Interstate McBee overhaul kit. The Rings in those kits have a tendency of being too hard and don't seat properly. While you have the turbo off it wouldn't be too much more to drop that exhaust manifold and see if you can see signs of any particular head leaking oil. You may have crackhead typically between the valves. Pull some fuel from your fuel tanks after they're half down in a clear jar to see if it's still translucent yellow. Take a flashlight and look inside your tank is it still shiny aluminum.

    Did the turbo fix it?

Yes. I think it was starting to get weak when I bought the truck and just didn't feel the power loss. It's boosting a lot more and quicker now. Mpg been up around 6.1-6.3 now instead of 5.6

Good deal. Did you go with the Borg turbo? Or Holset?

Borg. I ended up getting it at Jerry Youngs in Indy cuz Schneid didn't have one on the shelf like they said. There was a little slop in the bearing allowing oil to seep out exhaust side when I'd lift throttle. Good as new now

    ShooterK2 Thanks this.
