Just wanted to hear from any recent students that have attended this school. Any info on personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I graduated from Napier recently. As with everything else, there are positives and negatives.

The first two weeks of the five week course are in the classroom. The final three weeks are on the track doing backing maneuvers and your required 10 hours on the road.

Quality of instruction is excellent. Most if not all of the instructors have many years on the road and have a lot of wisdom to pass on.

The only major negative (for me anyway) is that class sizes are too big, and you spend far too much time sitting around waiting for your turn to practice a maneuver. This is made worse by the fact that students who have finished the course, but are still waiting for their BMV test date, as well as those who have previously failed their BMV tests and are waiting to re-test, are also there practicing along with the current class. Sometimes you can sit for over an hour and only get one shot at a particular maneuver before it is time to move on to the next one.

That being said, the pros far outweigh the cons. If I had it to do all over again I would still choose Napier over some business school or community college.

If you study hard and apply yourself you will be more than adequately prepared for your CDL writtens and your driving test.

I guess the proof is in the pudding - I passed on my first try.

    SHOJim Thanks this.
