Don't quit on the 102 yet!
Mount a std. 90deg aluminum cb antenna MOUNT on one of the verticle steel uprights on the cabs rack. (4 holes) Mount ANOTHER 90 deg. cb mount above it. Slip the fueline over the whip, run it thru the top mount to insulate, and thread it onto the lower mount.
You can be under 14' or,,, set it like a "feeler" pole like we do with high oversize loads. Either way, the 102 will letcha get away with murder when it comes to antenna placement compared to anything else I've tried.
