It's a fuel card from the company I'm leased to. Several months ago when I was leased on at another company they had the same, or I should say a similar, fuel discount program with Pilot but they didn't pay the fuel bill in a timely manner and got their discount cut out completely. I spoke with the account manager of that mess and asked him if I could get an individual fuel card for myself at the same discount. Best he would offer me was their ridiculous 7 cents off cash price fuel card which really isn't a discount at all. You have to be a small fleet or larger purchasing some bulk from Pilot to get a good discount, that's just how it is.

To be honest, I probably wouldn't use NASTC if i ran only the West Coast -- I'd use CFN or Pacific Pride instead.

For the rest of the country, NASTC is hard to beat for an independent: $1.85 (w/o IFTA) in MS, NC, NJ, NY, PA, IL, & VA; $1.86-1.89 in most of the connecting states...

Was on the 97 in WA today. There's a little town called Wapato that I go through often. I paid $2.26 a gallon cash, and that included road taxes. No, I didn't have to disconnect my trailer to get into the fuel island either ;-)

Yeah, WA State is pretty high. That's why I posted that price.

I have found that the best prices through NASTC are when prices are going down. Mainly because it's a cost plus program. The Fuel stops majors and mom and pops will leave the prices high for as long as they can but with NASTC you get the lower price, conversely, when fuel is going up it goes up quickly where as a mom and pop might leave their price lower until they have to buy at the higher price.

WA tribal pumps are great places to buy diesel. Officially, they collect the $0.494 state tax, but Washington gives the tribes 75% back so you are really only paying $0.12 (but still getting credit for having paid $0.49).

It's not really fair to the other stations, but I guess its better than smallpox...

Tropsnart and Scooter Jones Thank this.
