I have seen a lot of comments here about the NASTC fuel card, with FleetOne, I believe, but wondering if anyone has used any of the other services that NASTC offers and if so, how was your experience with them? They seem to offer assistance with just about everything. OOIDA can do a lot as well, so if anyone has any experience with either of these as far as getting started with your authority, to insurance to staying legal and up to date with all the regulations, please pass on your experiences and thoughts about them. I will be reinstating an authority I had quite a few years ago and with so many new rules and regs, want to make sure to get everything right the first time, as well as take advantage of any discounts and assistance I can get. Thanks.

Was a member for many years. Over the last couple of years they seemed more interested in pushing product than anything else, whether it was the fuel card, the convention, load board, etc. I started feeling like I was dealing with Amway or something. NOT saying they're bad, in fact they're very nice folks and they obviously work well for quite a few people, just wasn't for me anymore. Really though, if you're new to the game, they probably are a great set of training wheels to get you started. Good luck to you.

I won't do business with anyone who used FleetOne fuel cards. I will never, ever do business with FleetOne again. There are other fuel cards which offer good discounts. I have had 2 or 3 card companies that have approached me to use their fuel cards. They seem to have some fair discounts. Check around, I am sure that you can find an alternative that will offer some decent discounts. Another thing to keep in mind is that some brokers also have fuel cards and you can get discounts using their cards without any of the fees charged by NASTC and others. Some of them also offer discounts on tires, parts, etc., when you use their card. The down side is that the broker must fund the card and they only do that when you haul their loads. They put any advances or settlements on the fuel card. You can leave money on the card or transfer it into your bank account.

Must be a story behind your dislike for FleetOne?

Yes, there is.
