one of my earliest memories was a warm summer day--after mom put lye down the hole---and spilled some on the seat---and my older brother had a sit down---last one for a few days

I'm not a trucker, but when I'm on the road I frequnt these "travel plazas" as they call them now because they have everything, are generally well lit and seem safer than a dark rest area at night. I stopped at the Peelot in Marianna, FL a few days ago to take a leak and grab a bite. I had to stand 2 ft. away from the urinal because the stench was so bad and the floor was full of puddled piss. It was so nasty in there. I noted passing by that the stalls were full of unflushed toilets overflowing with TP; absolutely disgusting.

I drank too much soda and had to stop, yet again, 30 min. before I got home. I stopped at the AL welcome center on the AL/FL line, and guess what, those restrooms were MUCH cleaner!

I don't see how some of you all deal with that on the road. I give you credit for what you do. I would not want to worry about what to do If I had to stop and crap at place where the restroom was deplorable....or even shower in one. After having my gallbladder removed, I tend to have stomach issues; especially after eating that fast food stuff. I seriously debated on using the woods if it hit me while I was on the road....anything but going near one of those truck stop toilets.
