Nasty trainers

My trainer at Stevens was clean, showered nearly every day and was one heck of a good teacher. He wouldn't graduate me until I learned to float the gears and I haven't used the clutch for shifting since, lol! He picked me because we were originally from the same town (Las Cruces, NM). Last time I ran into him he drove for Crete but that was a long time ago.

As for the OP, this guy didn't eventually go drive for Werner, did he?

I felt like I hit the lottery with my trainer. He was a bigger neat freak than I am. We stopped and showered every day and when we were stopped we both cleaned the truck. I think he might have had OCD because everything had it's place in his truck and he would get annoyed if anything was out of place. He was a really good guy and had a wicked sense of humor. I got annoyed with him a few times because we would spend hours doing "backing practice". That's what he called the times where he would park the truck at weird angles and have me back out and around trailers in the yard. I would call him everything but his name while I was doing it but now years later I am grateful that he did it.
