Still not the carrier they used to be. Funny how times have changed the trucking industry.

Just how the world works. You don’t adapt to the new situations you get left behind. Not doing too bad in this downturn also since we got a fair amount of contract freight.

True to a point. Bad thing is the changes have made the industry worse. I'm glad people are still able to make a living trucking, but the industry could be better.

I’m in the process of coming in working with a recruiter Denise P. I’m coming from other companies & after some time recapping from local garbage truck cola driving. Is my social security card needed if I know my # or should I get the printout from the social security office that mine is ordered? Will I get reimbursed for any foodstuffs I buy while en route to orientation from closest international airport or should I not plan on it? I’m going dedicated company since im solo until my friend girl comes in as we teamed previously & are researching most as we can all companies & other opportunities. Lastly is it worth the fight to go company, lease op,owner operator @NCI in this current soft business?

    Reviving an old thread....

Is National Carrier aka NCI returning to their better reputation or continuing the downward spiral?

I'll be looking for a carrier that will take on a new driver with two dogs.

The possibility to run most of the 48 states sounds appealing. Home time not important at this time.

What would make the industry better? It seems fine to me. It's a means to make money, and people should start treating it as such.

I almost asked how much experience you got, but saw you're a new driver. Oops.
