Does anybody have any recent information on National Carriers? I'm thinking about driving again and they seem like a good company to work for

I have been to national beef in north of Harrisburg, pa . They package meat that come in on reefer trucks . I seen a owner operator pulling their trailer.

I appreciate the heads up. I try to keep a low profile. Do you work there?

i used to, and i'm good to go back if i'd like. just not taking advantage of that right now. the bit about al, maybe that's just me... i still have friends that drive there and absolutely LOVE it. just wasn't a good fit for me at the time i was there. they've got new trucks and what i hear are working on new trailers. when you get to the meat plants, if you have a good amount of time to kill they will put you up in a hotel for the night. orientation was pretty much here's a lap top go through this info and let us know when your done.

That sounds like what I'm looking for. I'm not looking to run hard at all. What are the chances of averaging about 2000 miles a week?

I do work there. The link that I posted is to the thread that I started a few months ago. All the info about National that you need is in that post.

2000 miles/week is easily doable. More so if you go OTR instead of regional. With you being in Mississippi and not wanting to run much, Florida dedicated would probably be right up your alley.
