Make sure you get the coupling down like its on the paper when it comes test time or you'll lose points
Skip still his still riotous self?
Hopefully they fixed 97 with that shimmy. They make 5000 a pop, they should be able to fix the #### truck.

Day 4 complete. Spent first part of the day pre-tripping the truck and then had more practice on the shifting track. Still getting the hang of it. Thats a good thing, because after lunch we hit the road. Headed out to the "Tater Fields". Lots of potatos grown here in FL. It was a good run, our group did well. Still need to practice the clutching though, still pushing it too far from time to time. Tomorrow we head back to the backing pad. Time to learn how to parallel park! Should be interesting....
Also today a recruiter from Covenant came in and gave a presentation. Yesterday it was Con-way. I haven't decided on anyone yet, but I do have a prehire with Werner. Decisions, decisions.... -
I'm glad your doing good. I liked the tater fields. I miss driving that classic XL. Which truck is 93? I remember the classic XL they had in the shop. I guess that's it

Day 5 complete. Actually it was cut short, thunderstorms moved through and it was decided to call it a day. Wasn't a total loss though. Learned how to parallel park and got to practice coupling /uncoupling before the storms. Parallel parking wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
I have a correction from an earlier post. It was Comcar not Con-way that came to the school. Comcar actually sounds pretty good. They have alot of regional stuff for new drivers. At least that is what the recruiter said. More later! -
I was gonna tell you id rather parallel park than to alley dock lol.
My backing test consisted of the straight line, blind side offset, and sight side parallel. I like parallel.
How was that test on day one

Is Sam Hogg still an instructor there in Green Cove Springs ? I helped him get his CDL about 15 years ago, have not seen him in a few years.
I live near the 'tater fields and saw you all go by today.Think it was the Classic XL. I am driving a red Freightshaker hauling sod. I have always heard good reports on National, and have met several of their graduates. Pay attention, ask questions and get all the driving time you can. All will be OK.DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
No Sam retired last summer. Boy does he have some stories. He's a funny old man

Day 6 complete. First part of the day was spent on the shifting track. Still gettin' the hang of it. At lunch time, Werner gave a presentation. Still thinking about going with them. After lunch we headed out to Palatka. Did fairly well. We had to stop and fuel up, I don't know how o/o make it. Wow! What a fuel bill! After we got back it was log book time. Woo Hoo! Bring on the electronic logs...
