Fayettenam..Really,that is the 1st time I have ever heard that, and its strange,as in the late 70"s all the "Nam" bars which were on the famous Hayes street in Fayetteville...I have heard, sadly, they have cleaned that 4-5 block area up..
So sad...so very sad indeed..

This Green Beret had been in country 2 weeks. He was w/ 1st SF Grp and was stationed N of Tarin Kowt where I am. He was airlifted to our trauma center immediately , but they were unable to save him. 1st one we had lost since Sept when 7 were lost from our SOTF. He was in remote area where the standard vehicle is Toyota Hilux truck. Not SRAT or MRAP. Hit IED and was crushed by vehicle. These maggots rarely line up and fight our guys or gals. They would lose in moments and they know it. Just keep pecking away and being a pest. Get lucky once in a while and post it on their websites. Real tough guys.Irondog Thanks this. -

While the SEALs are the kings hairy-assed he-man badassery, ya never really hear about the Deltas,do ya? Hmmm... My guess would be the more elite a military unit is, the more blackest of black bag operations that unit will be tapped for, therefore the less the general population will hear of that particular unit. Indeed, ya don't hear anywhere near as much about the Green Berets these days as you did back in the Eighties...
But I'd still rather have my move backed by Red Cell...if they still exist, that is.
