I won't even bother talking about my time at Sage and everything that goes with it. I also won't bother talking about numbers or anything else.

I'll just slowly back away from here with this advice: To any noob reading this thread: think about the logic behind whatever anyone in the trucking industry (be it schools or students and especially employers) tells you. If something sounds too good to be true, or doesn't sound logical...question it until you find the whole answer.

Good luck KinnaKeet. Keep the wheels turnin on pavement and I'm sure you'll do great. Hope to see you on the road.

MrKennedy If I could borrow a phrase that was used in the news a lot in the last couple of days. We agree to disagree. But I do wish you well in your search for a good education and a job that hopefully gets you home several times a week. Good luck and see you on the road.

    Kinnakeet.

Home several times a week? lol...no thanks.

Honestly I pretty much want to be anywhere BUT here...not that I won't miss my people, but I'm kicking 30s door down and have yet to be west of the Mississippi. That doesn't sit well with me.

Yea I drove across country several years ago and I have been hooked ever since. I don't know what I was more impressed by. The miles of flat land or them big hills they call the rockies! Scary enough in a 5000lb pickup let alone a 80,000 tractor trailer! Good luck and enjoy yourself.

Well another week down. Three to go. We have started qualifying on nine and ten speed's this week. Several student's passed and went on to get there cdl today! I was not that lucky! Monday hopefully!:yes2557:

Four students that did get there cdl today went out on solo runs. When I say solo I mean no instructor in the truck! Two students taking turns driving! I feel pretty confident that I will qualify on the nine speed on Monday and hopefully the ten on Tuesday. I am looking forward to it. Everyone seems to be progressing along good. There are a couple of students that are a little behind, but the instructors are working with them closely. I feel confident that they will catch up. Sunday night will be restless night for me. Soon as I qualify on at least one I will feel a lot better. I will be sure to let everyone know how it goes.

And a special thanks to Kickin Chicken for the support you have given me on this thread as well as my endeavors at JCC.

Good news today! :yes2557: Qualified on the nine speed transmission. One down one to go! Hopefully if every thing works out this week I will have my cdl by Friday. Bad news is the truck I have been practicing on went out of service today. Needs a tranny rebuild. Imagine that. I don't know why.:biggrin_25512: I guess it shows you need to be prepared for anything.

This is an awesome school. I went throught it back in 2003 and couldn't have been any happier. Unfortunately I was only 18 at the time and found out shortly after that no trucking company will hire someone of that age. So for the past 7 years I've had a few odd jobs here and there and I am actualy going back to North Carolina to take the schooling again in October. You'll love it!!!

Well another week down and less than two to go. Qualified on the ten speed on Friday! I should be taking my state road test as well as the straight line backing and 45 degree alley dock either tomorrow or Tuesday. Looking forward to passing and getting some solo driving in to sharpen my driving skills.:biggrin_255: Some members of the class have not qualified on either transmission yet. I hope they do. They are a great bunch of guys and gals. But if they don't qualify by Thursday they have to go home. The school is tough on this . If you can't qualify they will not just give you a license. And I understand this. When I leave hear I will know I have what it takes t drive a eighty thousand pound vehicle, and that I have earned it.:yes2557:
