Christ I was born and raised there and still avoid in the winter ....unless I fly in and out lol

 

There's only one that I know of in each state, and I like both of them, I'll even go out of my way a bit to be able to stay at the night there.

And it's not like "truck stops" catering more to the general public than us is a new thing, it's been going on for decades now.

I think you're just a cranky old codger.

I love the Petro in Clearwater.

 

Don't look at me, the petro in little rock has been stripped out a little bit too much for my taste. But so help me I still eat down there once in a while. At least the food is still tolerable for what it's been.

I don't remember too much about ND or MN, but MN I think had Mall of America kind of thing, we poach a few acres up there now and then hunting for food and fun in there. In our time they tolerated the trucks I think on the airport side with the highway in between.

 

Nelson Bros. Great place. Killer food. Nice drivers lounge with big wooden chairs. Laundry room at the truck fuel bldg! Isn’t that smart?

I was sitting in the bar between a Buster Brown and a Knight driver. Knight was drunk and talking about all the shows he watches on TV. He kept asking Buster if he’d seen this show or that show. Buster says, “How is it that you have time to watch all these shows? Oh never mind, you DO drive for Knight!” Too funny!

Anyways, the best truck stop chain in the Dakotas is STA Mart. I will sit in the bar. The smelly neckbeards won’t come in there, and no obnoxious children.

 

They have a great Bloody Mary, it’ll fill you up

 

I always just go to the Deli and get the Prime Rib Sammich .
