I dont know who dreamt that up or even it is still law there but I found out about it in 2007 when I reserved a room at the holiday inn there on a Sunday...no beer !
Until recently you couldn't buy beer before noon on Sundays in omaha .
The Mormons did cross the river at omaha on theyre trek west from Nauvoo Illinois.

Shock Therapy and Oxbow Thank this.

It's a dumb law. Although I do agree with the lower BAC levels. People don't need to be driving after drinking at all in my mind. Need to be held accountable for their actions, but don't think it right to not sell on Sundays. I mean then nobody should be working Sundays either if we go by that. Just sayin'

Well as I told him I have 2 very good friends that have a shop about 8 miles south.of Kearny. I Promise you they have a fridge full of Coors light and Bush light... we would of had plenty of beer ..lol
Oh ..BTW did I happen to mention they are farmers .. you know the bad kind that won't donate 20 acres of prime farm ground so the OP can have a place to park

JoeyJunk, Oxbow, wore out and 4 others Thank this.

Such rude farmers! How dare they not make the people happy. They should voluntarily give their land up for parking because we don't need food!! I can't even remember the last time I ate. Must've been like centuries ago!

I know I just can't wrap my head around their reasoning for not being more charitable.. other than sharing their beer

Problem with BAC levels is there are functioning alcoholics that will fail a breathalyzer without even having a drink. I prefer cognitive testing. If one isn't impaired they should be given a pass. We all know it's not about safety anyway.

    JoeyJunk Thanks this.
