Chrome will rust, watch and see come winter. Pay up for the stainless. Use stainless preformed on your exhaust connections while you're at it. $19 sounds fair, I think mine were $25 but I'm too lazy to dig thru receipts...

Well $80 right now...I'm prolly gonna wait. The driver side were replaced in Jan and the rig sat out of course all winter and they are tarnished but nowhere near as bad as the passenger side ones were :biggrin_2556:.

They looked like they came off the Titanic.

Wait til you start working the truck and driving thru that sodium chloride or whatever it is they pretreat the roads with. The stuff is great for de-icing but it's hell on chrome. Even worse on wiring. I silicone my plugs into the light sockets. It'll wick corrosion several feet into copper wires from a pinhole or anything.. very bad stuff...

    Hanadarko Thanks this.

I hear ya...Loud and clear... I have dealt with wicked copper on this rig to the point of replacing
MILES of wires...(at least it FELT like that!)

Nice and clean.. I replaced my entire exhaust too. Elbows for behind the sleeper dual exhaust between the frame rails are not cheap on a t600, I feel your pain on fixing things that would probably be ok otherwise, but why not it looks better lol.. like I say work it a winter and see what happens. You can only clean so much those chemicals they use are harsh..

    -Two new elbows
    -Two new 1-piece stacks
    -All new flex pipes

Only thing still unreplaced was the actual "Y or T" pipe from the engine.

But after being badgered by "rollin coal" - i sent BRCS an email and told them I will take the 4 clamps they have here in stock. Free shipping and I think it's best to do it once and do it right....
