Need a Cigarette Lighter Splitter

    The truck only has one cig lighter socket. I guess when I use the laptop I will unplug the other two. I will pick up some extra fuses just in case. Thanks for the heads up about that though.

    Cig lighter sockets are normally only 10 amps. I would buy some wire, clips, and a socket and run it direct to the battery. Make it 14 gauge wire with a 30 amp fuse. then split that 2 ways for the laptop and cooler.

    I have no problem running the cooler off of it. Would I be able to run the GPS and cooler at the same time with no problem?

    I can't say but the GPS doesn't draw much at all. Maybe 2-3 amps.
