Ive been in a tornado in a truck and wind was lifting me so bad i ran in the rest area. the truck never flew away though lol. There is a story at CRST about a team being picked up and carried quite a ways. they lived.

Hell no. Not even walmart. But its better than nothing if you can put windowless walls (Plural) between you and outside. Not the main open retail space where shelves will topple like dominos and everything int he store becomes projectiles to chop you up. Code black is the word to listen for and then instructions to gather in the safe spot.

There is one approaching roughly Toad Suck, and eventually Lonoke AR and another approaching roughly hot springs. Weak little ones. But the entire stormline in Arkansas is not a place to be in a big rig, winds over 75 gusts. It will throw down even a loaded rig.

A little truck with a trailer/sail, versus a stronger and more stationary building.
I'm sure you can work it out with a little thought.
Have you seen some of the videos of tractor/trailer rigs being picked up and thrown half a mile away by a tornado?

If you hunker down in the Walmart be sure to bring everything important with you in case your truck gets blown away.

Nashville has walmart sized buildings laying flat on the ground from recent tornado. And i think it was schneider vans i saw ripped in half.

I would hate to be buried under a collapsed walmart.

    No.

Get into the ditch as low as possible.

Bridges are a funnel the venturi effect concentrates the wind and kills or chops up people under that bridge whatever it might be. A 200 mph twister will become a 310 mph living hell under that bridge.

Any time you have a tornado, you have to be underground. If you cannot get underground then get into a strong building with many walls between you and tornado. But ultimately underground is best. Brick buildings become tombs and cinder block walmarts get crushed then stirred. If at a truckstop the shop service bay trench is a fighting chance. Not ideal.

But a proper Grissom Shelter or other FEMA Approved Tornado shelter underground with special door or hatch securing devices and locking bars/wheel combined with small ventilation pipes above is the best chance to survive as are concrete storm closets in some homes. It might be wiped to bare slab with no dust on it but that storm closet will protect you. A ordinary closet will get wiped and then buried as you are chopped up.

    Tornado?

    It ain't in a truck.

    Walmart in the bathroom.
You do know the vortex of the tonado is a giant vacuum?

How many people have been killed under a bridge?
