Thanks for the response, We really see this as a problem as far as returning vets go..lots more should and could be done, but when the government bureaucrats get hold of anything , the people that are really supposed to get the help, seldom get more than the lip service you spoke of.
Need a little help!!!

excellent points W.Hunter, that's why i started this thread,it stirs in people to comment how they feel. I also agree that there would be a small ripple if any. People don't suddenly "smoke and go for a ride" . I believe people should be able to put in their body anything they chose,it's when you for example, get behind the wheel and cause the public harm, that's when you should be exposed to the fullest extent of the law. What someone does in the privacy of their own home and big Brother gets involved is where it bothers me. If we truly are a free country, our privacy should be respected. Again thank you to our veterans because without you, we couldn't be able to even have this civil discussion. God Bless America and I pray Obama doesn't destroy it,BUT that is another topic

It is true that I do not like the idea of drug use and alcohol use in our world, but that was NOT my reasoning for why it should be illegal. There is nothing positive about drug/alcohol use period. Should we legalize prostitution just because people want to pay for sex or get paid for sex? Anyone that says they want drugs legalized PLEASE explain the positive impact that legalizing it would have

Good for you for being clean for a yr.Thats a huge step. But your chances getting hired with that on your record may be greatly limited.Try calling some companies first before thinking about attending school then you'll have your answer.

hello. i like the evil drug use in this world. i drink caffeine when i get up in the morning. i take aspirins when my head aches. i put ointment on open wounds. medicines are drugs. almost all drugs are legal. you must be thinking about schedule 1 narcotics, which are supposed to have no medicinal value. i want them all legal, because as individuals we have a right to do to ourselves what harms no others. i even support testing people to drive under the influence of cannabis, as it is a soft pharmaceutical which affects individuals differently, and some people are able to drive better with this medication. cannabis has a medicinal value, causes no permanent harm, and was wrongly mislabeled by special interest lobbying way back in the 1930s. it should not be a schedule 1 narcotic, its effects last only a couple of hours, but the residue in the bloodstream is currently used by all the squares in the industry to outlaw an otherwise good individual. the blacklisting should be outlawed, not the weed. it may not be good for all whom smoke it to drive, but for some it is. it has nerve effecting properties that help with spinal pains, neck pains, leg pains, etc. again, DOT should test to allow some drivers to drive while smoking cannabis- because with it they are better drivers. try to stop viewing all "drugs" as bad things. coffee is a drug. for some, cannabis is better, and less damaging than caffeine. obey current laws, and drive careful.
