As has mine. Probably 80% of my loads might only have a spare hour or two. And that can be all the way across the country. I usually always have to do a 34. Which for me is usually done under a load with just enough time to do so. I learned real quick to sleep at first oppritunity.

    Thats dispatch fault.
    With reefer,your guaranteed,a wait,either shipper,receiver,or both.
At Jb,99% of my otr loads, are all drop and hook, and I rarely deadhead more than 100 miles, to next load.
Average about 2500 miles a week, and home, every other weekend.

Two different things ... reefer, tight transit times, tight appointment times, lot of time sitting at shippers and receivers. Dry van, longer transit times, longer appointment windows, less time and more drop and hook at shippers and receivers.

Between the two, I found it easier to control my time and HOS with dry van ... Miles? 3000 miles a week, is 3000 miles a week.

    FerrissWheel Thanks this.
