Welp, the company I'm currently with looks like it might be going under, and besides that, I think a change would be nice. Been with them for 7 years. Kind of hate to say goodbye, but it just feels like it's time to move on.

Anyone in VA have a company they are happy with and would recommend? I have a lot of dry van and reefer experience, and I've gotten to like my auto transmission.

I'd really like to work 5 days on and have two full days off.

Other than that, just want some decent pay and if I'm not lied to every 5 minutes, that would be a bonus.

    austinmike and tscottme Thank this.

Where in VA? It's a pretty good size place.

A zip code would help out a lot.....

Haha, you are right about that. I'm in the Shenandoah Valley. Close to Harrisonburg and Staunton.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I drove for them my first year. Didn't make any money. Also, they had me on the 2 weeks on 2 days off schedule, which I'm not a fan of. Would like to have more regular time at home.

Walmart. You are about a half hour from the Mount Crawford DC and an hour from the Gordonsville DC. @rollin coal can tell you about them as he drives for Walmart.

You'll get 2 full days off at Walmart. It probably won't be Saturday and Sunday but it'll be a set schedule and about a 60 hour reset on the 2 day weekend. If you get on a 5/2 - 5/3 schedule you'll have an 80 hour reset on your 3 day weekend. The work and money are consistent. You can hustle and make a lot or you can not hustle and still make a lot more than you would anywhere else OTR.

I've been noticing day cab W/M trucks here in S.Ca. Compared to sleeper units, any big difference pertaining to work days etc ? Obviously can't take 10 off on line 1
