If the truck is registered outside of California, and the state issues one plate, it doesn’t matter where the plate goes.

I think AZ sometimes writes tickets for not having plate on back of tractor. I've never had a back plate in AZ and have never been hassled or ticketed.BigBob410 Thanks this.

True except that one prick enforcement officer who has a craw up her ***** and cites you for the license plate light out or missing.

I don't drive worrying about a prick cop. If I did I'd never get out of the yard. Be legal, be ready to back up what I know is legal and worst case is demand a citation so it can be dismissed in court.

I have seen once a truck with both a Texas and Mexico plates. My only guess is that Mexico wants it

Spend a few sundays babysitin while my wife worked licking bingo stamps.
Thankully a lot of states went with self adhesive stamps before they changed that systen to the carrier registration system.
