Need a Update on May

May is hiring - they took my app a couple of days ago and said they will run background as soon as I am out of school, Thursday or Friday - don't know about the wait for a truck once out of training, but they do have 15 new Volvo's sitting in the yard (Denver).

There is not much on this site about May. So guys educate me, cause it is a choice now between May and W/S. Honesty works with me.

 

If it is a choice i'd take W/S at this point in time. Better pay,
better miles...Mays miles are down AND i thought that they quit
buying Volvos a couple of years ago....

 

They don't have Volvo's anymore. Peterbilts is what they use. My miles are good with May. Sure, every company had it's negative points...but so far I have been pretty pleased.

 

They might be Peters - but I thought that I was told Volvo's - they are new. I was amazed, cause the recruiter told us that there were 20 - they are looking for warm bodies to get their fleet full. I wanted to see for myself, so I drove by, the trucks were there.

 

Nothin' but Petes on the lot in Phoenix. Anyone know the terminal manager there?

 

DOes anyone know if they will take anyone out of KY? Oh, and what is there home time like?

 

Looks like their lanes get as close as Cape Girardeau, and Nashville, according to their WEB SITE. They didn't post hiring areas there, but there's a couple of trucking job listings that list the states ANY company will hire from. Cool huh.

 

Yeah as far as i know May is Hiring again, i am about to start with them, and i got the heads up from a buddy of mine that has worked for them for 6 years. TruckerSteve, you can find him on youtube!
