Need a Update on May

Yea, come join the ranks of truck stop and terminal sitters....

 

They drive Peterbilt 387's they do not hire from KY and they are hiring again. But I wouldn't work for them on a bet.

 

That's a valid statement, but would you please expand on it? I only live 30 minutes away from their Layton, UT hub and I'm in the midst of the application process, so any valid thoughts, good or bad, will be most welcome.

 

They are a training Company. Which means that there main focus is training new drivers. They don't care if you have 6 days or 6 yrs of driving exp. Its all the same to them. You are just a warm body in a seat. And any driver will do. Because they hirer allot of rookies there equipment is torn up and broken. They drive slow trucks and will tell you everything to do.

 

I'd consider them also...seeing that their lanes run thru Atlanta, but no major terminal in my area makes me wonder if they'd take someone as far south as I am. Dry box is out, but I wouldn't mind ref. as long as I'd be able to run and not get detained too often. (Some is bound to happen, but just not all the time.) Taking refresh as we speak, apparently sod and straw dosen't count for OTR experience to most companies, and I'm covering my bases for all of them. Stay safe everyone, and keep the updates rolling.

i am considering may just waiting to here back from them .. have been out of a truck for a year need to start some where again are they a ok company besides the slow trucks

 

yeah o dont know about that guy, one of my good buddies from youtube, ....... truckersteve works for may and was actually the one that got me to go with them. they are for sure hiring but like said earlier are selective in there hiring process. good luck if May is where you wanna be, they are a great company, and you will love them. take care truckers

Yea you will love them They will tell you where to drive, which road to get there how fast to drive , how to shift , how to park , where to park, when to breath and what to eat. After they have planned your whole day they will tell you when to go to bed and wake you in the morning to start a new day of having they run your life. If you need some one to tell you what to do every minuet of the day and to have they check on you to make sure that you are doing it like they said then yea. There great and you will love them.

As for you adults who can run your own life's and don't need to be told every little thing to do. Find some where else to work.

I have not seen one positive post from Kabar - there might be one out there, but I have not seen it. So when I see his nick, I just skip over it.
