The hearing test should not be a problem if you can hear common sounds.
Like someone else has said, they just test for being able to hear a forced whisper. They don't test for frequency ranges.

Here's what I would do; contact Bruce Oakley Trucking and check if any 0/0's need driver. It's a 100% 0/0 company & you can apply online. With your experience, you would fit right in with that company.

Also, contact Maverick and Southern Refrigerated Transport and ask, "what do I need to do to drive for you?"

These 3 companies will let you know if you need a refresher course or a full CDL school.

As for the hearing test, the doctor usually steps behind you and says to raise your hand when you hear the whisper; just wait a couple of seconds and raise your hand. Works for me. Wear hearing protection when being a tanker yanker or there's a price to pay.

You might qualify for free CDL school through the WIA program.
