Alright guys I've decided to go with Roehl. The lady with R.E. West for some odd reason couldn't verify my past employment history and she pretty much gave me the run around. I will be headed out sometime in November. I have no doubts about my hair test at all but I usually go to the barbershop and keep a low cut so now I will have to wait for my hair to grow before heading out to take my test. Thanks ChinaTown I appreciate the work you put into helping me out man.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
They'll take hair from anywhere they can get it; not necessarily from the head.
-
My recruiter asked if I had 1.5 inches of hair and I told her I didn't. My pits and legs don't bare 1.5 inches of hair yet alone my head. I'm just praying I can grow this hair out because I want to get started asap!

Millis Transfer does urine test. They'll probably ship you to Georgia or Ohio for cdl school.
Maverick Transportation - don't know if they do urine or hair follicle.
Titan Transfer in Shelbyville does urine, but doesn't provide lodging.
Stevens Transport does urine and has school in Knoxville. -
Do any of those schools mentioned pay you while you train? Just wondering. I have enough money saved up to cover 1 months rent but will still need to earn while I learn.
-
Don't think they do. Roehl is the only one that pays while in classroom training. Better stick with Roehl.
-
If I didn't have my apartment I would've easily chose another carrier but sometimes you have to rob peter to pay Paul. And Roehl seems like an alright company. Haven't heard too much negatives about this company.

Roehl seems to be one of the better training companies. Decide if you want flatbed, refrigerated or dry van. I'd lean toward "dry van National Fleet", but maybe you should ask some questions on their threads before you decide.Last edited: Oct 14, 2017

I told my recruiter I was interested in the flatbed devision. Not because of the money but because I could easily switch to dry van if things didn't work out.
