Im looking to go into flatbedding. I have looked at various companies and according to what they pay it should be an easy decision. But, I currently bring home approximately $777 every two weeks at current job. I just want to make sure that a hard worker can make this if not more? Perhaps what you average per week bring home if you don't mind. Thank you to all who respond. This is my only concern in doing this!

Get a job with any DECENT flatbed/stepdeck carrier and you will have no trouble making that much every week after you are trained.

Check this week was $789 after $50 advance deducted last week $745 after $100 advance deducted. I have more than 20 yrs at this game a new driver can expect to be in the $500 to $600 a week bring home. Flatbedding is not for the lazy.

You're sure painting a different picture than a few othewr drivers. Over $700 a week is a lucky find compared on what we've seen sp far.

Thank yall for all the imput. I'm a very hard worker and know going in that flatbedding is hard work. I actually wanted this to challenge me physically. I feel a lot better about what I want to do. I just want to make sure I'm going forward and not backward.

I remember following you going to mav but hadn't heard how things were going. Glad to see they are going good! They are my first choice. Have pre hire from TMC also. Just wondering how many miles you ran and number of deductables that was!

If you don't mind me asking which company do you drive for? Also how many miles and deductions do you have? Thanks again!

Yeah, I grossed $1650 a week every week but that is rare. I never knew my net because the wife takes care of all that. For someone starting out they should be prepared to stash away 6 months of living pay to make it without any worries. Right out of the gate making over $700 a week is rare and should be pointed out that it is. These people see enough signs that say they will make $50,000 to $60,000 a year driving a truck when most do not. If you did then you got real lucky and you might want to make plans to retire there.
