It seems like the glider is good business sense if you want a new truck. I will have to keep this in mind if I decide to get my own truck.

cascadia will soon be available as glider. kustom trucks are working on the 12.7 harness for cascadia.

I was at Fitz few days ago and they said that they tried to do few Cascadias but the cost of building that truck it's just way too much.
For CA rules they said the truck passed that emission test and it was way under what CA tolerate for emissions. It got better results then dpf trucks. Now I don't know should I go with glider or get a new Volvo780 -
Harrison Freightliner in Iowa has built batches of Cascadia gliders. They worked with Freightliner directly and got a patent on the design. Fitz doesn't have access to the design. The Cascadia gliders Harrison is doing don't have any more cost than any other glider. I have seen rows of them ready to go.

Yes I looked at one in clear lake iowa location a few weeks ago. I think they were $5k more than a Columbia. Bigger sleeper, fridge and full guages in the cascades. I think they were $123k with a 10sd.

are rear diffs reman or new?
-
if you get them with the kit they are new
-
I am pretty sure that the regulatory changes that came about a year or two ago made it mandatory that drive axles must be provided or reman. Not positive that is true, but pretty sure Phil Woody at Harrison told me that the last time I talked with him.

Westernstar are providing the axle housings and suspension new . But putting reman third members in them. People are just paying the core charge.
This does away from the crusty , rust pitted housings found in the bone yards. Yet this still makes the regs happy as technically it is still a reman rearend.
And yes, has to be reman not new.
Also 2 of the components have to come from the same doner truck.
At least thats how it works here in canada EH. -
.
nope you can get them either way
rears or no rears
