    on top of this i guess you have personal expenses , insurance , plates , diesel pay , adds up very quickly

    I appreciate all the input. I didn't realize I had quit getting email notifications.
    I may still trade for the truck. It's only 50k, and he's maybe willing to trade for a tractor.
    I think it has the makings of a very handy personal truck with a service bed on it and a dump frame under that.
    Sort of a personal tow, haul truck for scrap metal, fire wood, clean fill.
    It would still work for pick up duty too.
    I thought being a dt466, parts were cheaper.

    Go watch Dale Clay flatbed videos on utube. It's a good start for learning securement and get a feel for how maverick runs.
