Whatever Trucks you’re considering, given the cost of some parts on newer engines. You might want to do a search for prices on things like Turbo, water pump, egr coolers, def systems, depending on the engine. Along with common problems on certain Trucks and engines. The Freightliner one box comes to mind. Volvo’s have some unique and expensive parts. Generally, a lot of Trucks/Engines since 2004-2007 have been over engineered with more and more complicated electrical and engine components. Some Turbos are $500, some are $5000. For instance. Certain Internationals can be had very cheap, beautiful Trucks, nice interiors, but plagued with problems. Buying a good used Truck has never been trickier. The repairs on an older Truck for half the price of a newer one used to be predictable. Now there’s so many variables, and manufacturer specific problems. Especially on Trucks/engines between 2007, and 2017.
