I read, CBD will not show up on any drug test, and the only way it will, is if contaminated with THC from another source, aka, regular weed. Sorry, doesn't look good. There is poor control of what goes into CBD, and very well might have had THC. Today it's black and white, and CBD is kind of a gray area, but in itself will not cause a false positive.

Giving you the benefit of the doubt that it really was CBD oil, in this business you must know that there are certain supplements and herbs which are insanely close genetically to prohibited substances, and which sometimes will give you a false report. There IS a mechanism to challenge the test, and these tests are NOT infallible. You should DEMAND a retest, possibly suggesting litigation if you are refused (or at the very least a call to your state employment department). And, by all means, STICK CLOSELY TO YOUR STORY; any good attorney will try to prove that you actually just smoked a doob and are using CBD oil as a false-front. Be VERY careful with this. Unfortunately, THC takes WEEKS to clear from your body, so you should go nowhere even near a CBD oil, or even a person smoking weed. If you are lucky and it's been a week or 2, what THC was in your system MAY be dissipated enough by now to give you a clean test. THC generally take 6 WEEKS to clear your body, and no amounts of 'gin and juice' is going to change that. So, if the reality might be that you 'gave up' pot a full month before, well, it was still in your system. DO NOT TELL ANYBODY THIS if it is closer to the reality here; you will only be shooting yourself in your foot by doing so.

FWIW, you MUST avoid CBD oils (THC), and poppyseeds (Opiates). Prilocaine creams can also give false test positives for cocaine. There are other issues, but most are pretty rare.

 

Some of the makers of CBD are not strictly following procedures and contamination with small amounts of THC is not their problem.
