ok I am from West Virginia, it seems that many of the better training companies will not accept people from my area, I can not afford to pay for my own schooling and also can not get financial aid as I am already enrolled in college in other courses. My question is what school is the lesser of the evils? So far I have been researching Swift, CRST, CR England and Celadon. My husband and I are looking to be team drivers. I know that the first year will be the worst. I am just looking for the least horrid experience. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Stay away from CRST. They teach you to jack knife in u turns, drive on the wrong side of the highway and to go through the drive through at burger king.

( and recent rumors of sexual harassment towards women trainee's)

Starboyjim, HorseShoe and KandeeKane9 Thank this.

Thank you lots of character. I was actually leaning towards them because I have heard so many horror stories about CR England

To be frank.. They all suck. The lesser of all the evils is celadon.

You can search all the company names here , you'll get mixed reviews.

I heard down the grapevine that drivers make $120,000 a year at CRE!

Swift or Celadon. Swift has more dedicated runs. Definitely stay away from England

    Puppage and KandeeKane9 Thank this.

Yea I have spent days reading all the reviews. Which is making me really nervous about choosing the wrong one and being stuck. I am not at all afraid of hard work or having to pay my dues. I just do not want to be stuck there and then seen as unhorse able or not given loads.
CR is very persistent also. Keep wanting me to sign a contract.

What companies have you looked into? Maybe we can find others that hire near you

Thank you HorseShoe. I keep hearing that Swift has a very bad name in the industry.

Have you talked to Conway Truckload. They are a step up and love teams.

Of course they do.. Bunch of crooked bastachities (@G.Anthony )

You've got 6 months to 1 year with whoever you choose.

Swifts got driver facing cameras now... Kinda creepy, but I don't mind people watching me change, you might...

    CRE is garbage

    CRST... Just forget them now..

Best advice I can give, pick one, do six months, bail for someone else and just repay the school loan

    KandeeKane9 Thanks this.
