Hello there. 1st post here and probably a bad way to introduce myself.
    Name: Luis
    About: Technician.
    Background Exp: International

Currently I have a few Volvo trucks with issues and barely any diagnostic info to help me solve the issues at hand. I have this truck

2008 Volvo VN model? Im not to familiar with these units yet.

    Codes:
    PID 84 FMI 9
    PID 91 FMI 9
    PID 85 FMI 9
    PID 228 FMI 9
    PSID 201
    PSID 86

All of them are abnormal rate of change. all have the same FMI. trying to go thru each code is nearly impossible . I have 0 wiring diagrams nor specs. I have a sister truck and found the APP has 2 wires with split 5v reference. Currently mines does not have any. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

BTW this truck has been hacked up a few times.

Wiring diagram via hhvresource.com. Check there or media volvo service bulletins. Sometimes you get luckily and they are free. I have my manuals with me in in park city ks so I can't email them to you

    Bass_Waves Thanks this.

Yes yes it will. They have posted all the shop manuals. Some are dated but as guys up date their converted units they do update the library.

Your reading the the faults from MID 128 the EECU(Engine ECU). The faults you have listed, are loss of multiple signals from MID 144 the VECU(Vehicle ECU) on the J1708/J1587 Data Line. Possible causes are open circuit(s) on the J1708/J1587 Data Line twisted wire pair or an internal failure in the VECU itself. You can access the diagnostic screen through the "Driver Information Display". See if you can communicate with MID 144/VECU. If you can't, the message "Operation Failed" will appear. Check your power/grounds and integrity of the J1708/J1587 data line at the VECU, which is located under the fuse/relay center. See attached schematics, pages 7-9. Hope this helps.
