On the side of the road I need your license, medical certificate, log, bill of lading and registration. If your license or medical certificate state you need corrective lenses, you need to have them on.

    Not in Minnesota....

I was wearing prescription glasses, no restrictions on either and the inspector wanted to fine me for false documents.

Told him that I was legal to drive in any state with them and if he had to write such an ignorant ticket, rest assured I would see him in court.

You should have heard the comment he made for me to leave. It began with a F.

I wish I had his badge number and called it in.

Here's one: Deputy Dawg from the OK HP rolled me into a defunct coop for a roadside. Nice guy, educated well mannered but determined to nail something.......... ( twas in Tonkawa, just over the line )

He did the normal stuff under the hood, lights , papers etc. Started becoming frustrated at a lack of violations.... and backed off. Left my rig for the cruiser and came out with this LARGE BINDER like something out of a library and started rooting through it. He stood there and kept flipping the pages and finally asked to see my "sleeper restraint system " Huh?

Yep, the seatbelt to keep the co-driver in incase of a wreck. I explained this was a single op. and I would be in the back, asleep, and not moving.

To bad he said....it was made with it and it's gotta be there. Didn't hurt me but cost the boss $259 at the Pete house for a new one.

    Ugh!!

I just realized he was the guy that gave me a level 3 on January 2 of this year. Too bad I didn't think of that sooner. I have his name and such on the copy of the inspection report.

Where can I find a way to measure 150 air miles from my base?

    Get a map.

    Get a ruler.

Check the miles per inch on the map in the border.

Draw a line that distance around it.

Want to get fancy, go buy a compass and draw a perfect circle.
