it’s a rental boiler. They will move it in to factories where their main boiler needs to be shut down for service or whatever. Set it up in the parking lot, temporary pipe it in, and turn it on. At least that is their idea anyway, this is their first one of that size.wis bang and Rideandrepair Thank this.

I expect to be questioned at the scales when we pull it. It is permanently attached to the trailer, but it looks like it’s just sitting there with no chains.
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Yep there is, no dot number, just the owner's name and other vital info.m16ty Thanks this.

There used to be a company that took moving vans and a upright 15 hp Fulton boiler and a few tanks and pumps to make turnkey substitute tank cleaning plants for wash racks to use to operate during rebuilds and boiler change outs, etc.
They did a lot of business as the EPA tightened regulations and older facilities had to clean up and re-build to meet changing standards.
This isn't a new idea, I've seen portable boilers inside trailers rented while a boiler was re-tubed. -
The company already has a couple of smaller rental boilers in moving vans, just like you are talking about, but this is the first time they’ve done one this big.
When this one moves on the job, they are still going to have to have a crane, to set the stack and DA tank. They tried to mount the DA tank over the rear axles, but it was going to be almost 16’ tall, so it will have to be hauled separately and installed on-site.Wrobichaud and wis bang Thank this. -
Unless its intermodal equipment they dont need a dot number
