    The general consensus is that detroit gets better fuel mileage but costs more to rebuild and cummins is more reliable but gets less mpg and cheaper to rebuild. Search Cascadias for sale with blown engines. All Detroits.

    As long as you do a good daily inspection, keep up with maintenance, don’t keep it at super high rpms or lug it low causing liner damage, you should be good.

    If you can avoid idling even better.
