I recently graduated CDL Driving School. I feel in love with driving semi trucks while in school and was excited that i graduated. After graduation I applied to TMC after watching videos on youtube and talking with a recruiter that came to the school I was attending. I quit smoking ganga a month before attending school and passed my physical drug test. before starting school. MY girlfriend is a heavy smoker and would smoke in the house or room with me while I was still in school and before I left for orientation.
After graduating I contacted a recruiter with TMC and left 2 weeks after finishing school. I took the pre employment drug test on Monday along with everyone else. After a week of training and passing every test I was pulled in the office and said I needed to contact the testing facility because they haven't received my testing results the following Monday. The facility told me they haven't gotten my results yet. I told my training manager what they said and was told okay this happens often and I would need to call them the next day. I was then pulled from class after lunch before hitting the yard to practice the 45 backing. I called and was told I failed the test. I had .21 which the minimum is .15 of marijuana in my system. I was shocked because it was well over 2 months since the last time I used. TMC told me I had to leave and I had to find my own transportation home.
After paying $400 to a SAP to get to Step 4 I was told that I can start to apply to carriers/job that allow SAP Drivers. The issue I'm running into now is that I can't find a company that will take me because of being a SAP and LACK of Experience. I have applied to so many companies that I was told hire SAP Drivers just to get an email saying they aren't hiring SAP Drivers. The Facebook recruiter who are shady as hell have reached out but I can see through those scams. I'm almost ready to call it quits before I even started and it very discouraging because I paid $3,500 for school and now its starting to seem like it was a really bad investment.
Does anyone know of any companies that will take on SAP Driver without any OTR Experience? Or would anyone have any advice in what I should do in my situation? Should I contact and consortium and pay more money to get STEP5 done in my clearinghouse?
Thank you to anyone who replies....I know i heard it that I shouldn't have done this or done that before. Constructive Advice is really appreciated please.

As far as the SAP, I think you should get as many steps done as you can.
For work, you might have to start out by driving for an owner-operator or doing local work like driving an end-dump, belly dump, concrete mixer, etc. -
take any job you can get even if it's 1099. Your goal is to get experience no matter how crappy it is to start.
bryan21384 and rawgrim57 Thank this. -

Western Express excepts SAP drivers. Not reccomending, just saying.

The MRO should have contacted you to ask about any medications you may be on before failing your sample.
Anyway, I hate to say it but your CDL career is over. Any of those 1099 places are your only option and frankly I don't even think they will take you on.
Even if you do find one that will take you they will rob you blind. You won't even make minimum wage when it's all said and done and they'll ruin your record so nobody will want you anyway.
The only slim option you might have is to wait until the demand for drivers becomes high again. When drivers are in demand the standards drop and many places will begin hiring those they normally wouldn't.
There's also a chance things will change whenever the feds finally move THC to the Schedule 3 category. Who knows when that'll happen though.
BTW, it's not right to blame your girl for your dirty sample. Second hand smoke can't cause a failure. It's your fault for not doing your homework before putting in applications.
You could have easily gotten some home test kits and tested yourself multiple times to be 1000 percent sure you were clean.
Good luck on your future endeavors.tarmadilo Thanks this.
