I got a good job from Craigslist. Newbies seem to think this source is bad & that source is good. It doesn't work that way. Jobs are just things. One job is good for some people & bad for other people. Facebook & Craigslist are just places to look. YOU have to research the job & company & compare that to what one driver needs. There is no reaching into the good job pile. Newbies want someone to make decisions for them.

Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

It's sketchy because of the scammers. I got a decent job from there once upon a time which is why I suggested it.
-
There isn't a scammer-free place to look for a job. The idea in the olden days was to look before you leap.
wulfman75 Thanks this. -
Never did I blame my GF and your right I should of tested myself before leaving. The MRO did contact me before hand but I don't take any medication especially any with CBD or THC. Appreciate you telling me my career is over before it even started. Really needed to hear that one bro.

I've been reaching Craigslist and Facebook. Almost got scammed from a person on Facebook doing Amazon Relay. The red flags from the conversation over the phone made me not give them my information. I'll definitely keep looking on Craigslist and Facebook. I've been stuck on trying to get with a mega carrier for the reputation and training they provide but find a 1099 position might be the way to go for at least 6 months to get the experience.

IMO 1099 & Amazon Relay are scams no matter where they are listed. Online people see Amazon as a big reliable trustworthy giant in the trucking industry. In trucking Amazon is seen as a bottom-feeding, rule bending, shady POS.
Sons Hero, rawgrim57, FullMetalJacket and 1 other person Thank this. -
im thinking about contacting a consortium getting my RTD Test done then wait the 6 months to get the SAP violation cleared. in the Meantime using my CDL A as a B and work for Waste Management and pick up trash. Feels like a waste of a year of my life but the lesson is learned.
