Levi. Your choice might be somewhat limited and if there is any parole involved it might make it nothing but local driving.

Celadon is a company that seems to work with you. I have also talked Lisa Motor Lines into hiring a few of my students but I had to take them by and be involved in the talk. Most schools or instructors would never do that. But honestly you may have to settle for anything you can get and make a career out of any one that will give you a chance.

As far as folks getting self righteous about truckers and how in the past all us truckers were virgins? Yeah right! We are just as screwed up as the rest of society and we all make mistakes that we live with.

 

If your Dad is an O/O then you might be in a good position to start driving. I would let him teach you and go from there. He'll have to deal with his insurance company and that might present problems but it's worth checking. Other than that I don't think you have a chance at driving anywhere but with an O/O. I say that because these schools are turning out drivers everyday and there's a flood of drivers with perfect records.

I passed a tire shop with an old trailer in the door getting loaded with junk tires and I realized that it was my old trailer I used to train because it said IDT right on both sides.
