You got to get out of Miami if you want a job.
Plain and simple.
Most companies don't want to go there,
And most will lose money just trying to get you home.
Got to get up to I-10 at least.
Need Help Bad, no idea what to do. WORK

they usually take you. may have to sit with a trainer for a two weeks.kilikachille Thanks this.

Not to be rude, but sitting with a trainer right now, might be a good thing.Snow Hater Thanks this.

I sat with a trainer for close to two months. Only crashed because I never experienced driving on snow. Literally my first day ever driving on snow. I know now to definitely definitely drive slow on the snow. I tell everybody I can who's interested in CDL about this. I also tell them to download a phone call recording app to cover their ###.

Call up the canning plants and juice plants in the everglades and see if any of them have open seats due to corona virus callouts. Even on a temp basis just to say you are still trucking.

Hi Chinatown. Do you know of any good carriers that allow drivers to bring their dog with them? I have a pitbull/black lab mix that weighs about 60 lbs. I haven't driven since 11/19 (thought I was done with it but haven't been able to find a decent paying alternative.) I have about nine years of actual driving experience since 2008 with an X endorsement. I've pulled mostly dry van with an occasional reefer. I live in Atlanta, GA, so if they have a place to park around here that would help as well. Thank you.

This ^^^^
If the company uses DAC i walk out. It's only going to be used against you. Any company that uses HireRight, DAC, Tenstreet, etc, just move on. It is still possible to be hired on a handshake.
Drive around, including industrial places, observe who has trucks doing things you'd like to do, write those names down, and give them a call.
Also, under Options on Craigslist is a checkbox for Bundle Duplicates, it boils all those ad spamming megas down to a few ads.
Then look carefully for the ad that is the only one that company will run this year, because they need one driver. If a company needs 20 drivers you don't want to work there.Numb and Western flyer Thank this. -
