SPN = Suspect Parameter Number... the smaller the number the more important the issue
FMI = Failure Mode Indication. The number may reference a short circuit or an open circuit or a temp too high, etc. depends on the system being coded.
spn 4364 is an after-treatment code. 1 indicates low NOx conversion effeciency. 8 is low SCR conversion effeciency
spn 3364 is a Def fluid quality code. Not finding exact info on the 3 FMI codes but combined with the above I'd head to a dealer if the truck has derated. If it hasnt then its your call how important it is. I ran my Cassie for a year with multiple SCR related codes. never did derate and ran perfectly. Finally stopped using def completely and I decided it was time. $275 and 6 hours later I was rolling again.
spn 86566 and 86384 Data receiving error
Spn 1590 Fail 19 Adaptive cruise disabled.. probably due the the abs issue below
spn 792 fmi 5 Right side axle 2 wheel speed sensor low current or open circuit.QUALITYTRUCK Thanks this. -
I have a 2012 cascadia isx15 with fault code: cdu42 spn 86566 and 86516... can anyone help me with this?
Thanks -
Do you have Onguard? From a quick Google search it looks like the 86516 code means the radar isn't working or is working poorly - like maybe something is blocking it, or it's misaligned, or just going bad. The 86566 is a code for a bad data update rate and might just be derivative. I'd go after the 86516 code first.jordip34 Thanks this. -
I do have on guard and yes it is malfunctioning...is there a way just to disconnect this device...I really can't stand it...lol
-
I also show 2 other codes...cab33 spn 520407 and eec 61 spn 639...any ideas?
-
You can unplug the radar. Disable ACC in the engine ECM and reset memorized parameters in the ABS system.
520407 - Utility light circuit shorted to high source.
Battery power is present on the utility light circuit when it is not being powered by the SAM Cab.
639 - J1939 Datalink, intermittent or incorrect data. (Collision avoidance system)QUALITYTRUCK and jordip34 Thank this. -
"Trailer Turn Lamp Right - Voltage Above Normal Or Shorted To High Source". The 639 code can be caused by various things. You need the FM (failure mode) code that follows the SPN code to narrow it down. One of the things that can cause SPN 639 is the forward looking radar though, and since you've already had other problems with your radar that's probably the source of this code too.
I've never had OnGuard or Vorad so I can't tell you how to turn them off, but I'll bet it's just an ECM setting. Is it your truck? Call a dealer and ask them how to disable it. If they say it's an ECM setting then go find a Diesel Doctor or some other shop that can set ECM settings. That should be a lot cheaper than the dealer.jordip34 Thanks this. -
