Thats not what I meant. I meant that you can find many drivers tell help then just one person. There are all type of experience some drivers face and some havent even faced before. I might ask him a question but he dont know it and I ask it on this forum and I get a response.

Yeah, but you're asking about what's in the book. Your uncle had better know what's in the book or he'd better do us all a favor and park his truck. Seriously dude, you're really scaring me. The info in the book just isn't that hard and there just isn't that much of it. I read the whole book twice over the course of two or three days, then went and sat for the CDL written and while I was there I also did tanker and doubles/triples and passed them all with no problem. It was pretty darn easy in fact.

I mean we're talking about maybe 50 to 100 facts and figures on stuff that is very basic in nature. It just ain't that tough. If you're having so much trouble learning 100 basic facts and figures, what are you going to do when you run up against something that you've never seen before and have to think for yourself to figure out how to do it right the first time without screwing it up? That kind of thing happens in trucking. And you don't get to retry umpteen times and then take it in small sections until you get it right. You've got to think on your feet, make the RIGHT choice and do it, all of it, the first time. So far, you're not really showing that you have the ability to do that. I'm honestly worried that this might not be the right career choice for you.

You should had prepare yourself before you go. Take the manual and study while your in the bus you will have plenty of time to know them. Your going to Denver from Miami, that will be a long bus ride. Hope your experience with Stevens Transport workouts for you. Your lucky they are hiring in Miami because many companies dont. And last when your instructor is teaching you dont act like you already know something. If theres something you dont understand ask questions and like I said before take notes. The same thing goes for when your in training. If your looking to be a truck driver you should change that attiutude or things might not end up well for you. Goodluck

I have a positive attitude but I will listen to your advice. My flight is at 5:20 I chose to fly instead because I will be late if I go on bus today. Im also studying for Hazmat. I now realize that there is much things to learn in being a truck driver.

Ramon381 Driver, depending upon which state you live in, you should be able to access the DMV Web site for your state and then navigate to their commercial license page and download the document for free from there.

I took the liberty of finding the DMV Web site for Florida for you and you may access it by CLICKING HERE.

Or, if you simply want to study the commercial handbook you may CLICK HERE.

There is no easy way to learn it however, and the advice to keep taking the practice tests from CRST or wherever you find some is the best advice anyone can give you. Practice, practice, practice until you are getting 100% everytime. This also helps build up your confidence.

One last thing. Once you get into DMV be sure to follow this strategy:

    1. Read the question
    2. Read ALL the answers choices.
    3. Decide which answer is the BEST answer.
    4. Re-read the question again to insure you have selected the correct answer.
    5. Enter your answer.

If you practice and follow that strategy on each question, I can practically guarantee you will pass.

    Good luck.
