So I already started studying the practice tests. Are you saying I should go take the CDL test while I am at school and which endorsements do you mean? Do I need a CDL permit before I start classes?

Ask the school about the permit. Probably will need a DOT physical and permit, but ask the school.
    As for endorsements, get:
    hazmat
    doubles/triples
    tanker
Some companies require tanker even if they are dry van or reefers because sometimes they may haul those large plastic totes of some liquid product.
Study "air brakes" & "general knowledge" also.

Sorry can you explain are the endorsements tests at the DMV or do you have to pay for that?

It's been a while for me, but I only paid for hazmat because fingerprints are required.
All the tests are easy; multiple-choice. I think hazmat was 30 questions.

Chinatown, I just thought of something...maybe I have been backwards on this so far? Do I need to study and take my CDL test before I start at the school? It just dawned on me maybe I need the permit before I start or no?

Have you or anyone here had experience with their CDL program? They have a good price, under $4k -
NTI charges close to $7k - double...Like what I read from them & had a great convo with a knowledgable person there but that's double the cost...
Has anyone been hired easily after obtaining their CDL training from J-Tech in Jacksonville, FL?
Gotta call J-Tech back to see if they have a DOT Approved Certificate...
Over $3k is a big difference....

J-Tech's a good school. CRST uses them. If you can save $3,000 go for it.

They also train you on Dry Van+FlatBed (good to gain knowledge of both) - I'm heading over there just need to get my learners permit first...

$3,500+ but I got a recruitment person from a small/mid. sized outfit to vouch for them & NFTC as recognized CDL schools...
