Apply to Paul Transportation anyway. Can't lose by at least submitting an application.

Pretty sure Knight and Abilene Motor Express will both hire you.
Both have hired drivers that haven't driven in 10 - 25 years.

If you are really interested in tank work, Schneider will hire and train. It’s really not a bad company. Like anything else it’s what you make of it. So if you go into it knowing that it will be a year or 18 months to get the training and experience, could work well for you. They do have work in your area, so that’s also good.

Find Tanker truck driving jobs near you | Schneider

You won't find OT in trucking. It's an OT exempt field. It's not likely that you will find an hourly trucking position with no experience. If you want an hourly job that pays OT and pays relatively well, get your forklift certification. As far as time-to-pay ratio, you will make more money as a forklift operator than truck driver.

incorrect. While rare, there ARE jobs in trucking that pay OT. Some after 40, even. I know, because I did one in the past... Lots of LTL P&D positions have OT, usually after 50 or so, though. Gotta check them for specifics.
