You can pay up for a single room once you get there if it means that much to you.

SNI training was very good and can only assume it still is. Gordon is now owned by heatless...I mean Heartland.

Its your call but I would stick with SNI.

I guess it sounds great if you have never driven a truck before. I'm sure the insurance likes those standards.
They should have some real low accident ratings with all that training.

A training engineer? WTF is that hahahaha ?
Is that what they call a trainer these days? HAHA Sorry. Don't mean to laugh but that sounds like a punchline to a bad joke, traning engineer... lol

A training engineer (the guy who sits next to you as you drive and make the company money as a team but get paid as a student) and a transportation scientist (the actual otr solo driver) walk into a bar to meet a Therapeutic counselor (lot lizard).....HAHAHAHAHHA and wait for instructions from this head logistics team coordinator (the only dispatch awake to give a call).

    Whats he engineering? Seriously. hahahahha

    Sorry. Back on topic.

Pay the difference between double/single occupancy. There's 50/50 chance your 'roomie" will wash out anyway, then you'll have the whole room to yourself.

Schneider did mention I could get a solo room but said it would be costly as the room is being booked for 2 weeks. So even though the room would be discounted because of Schneider, I'd have to pay the difference. It's not too big a deal..as you said there is always the possibility I would get the room alone.

don't plan on that. say for instance another student leaves, do you think that 2 will be in separate rooms at Schneider's dime.???

you WILL BE pared up again. now as a student, and on what little a student gets paid, and if you pay the difference on a credit card, when that bill comes in, it's gonnabe a whopper for the 2 weeks, if you choose to have a room of your own............

I just got an email from Gordon Trucking. Their training is up in WA which is a lot closer and I would only stay in a hotel for 3 days and then go OTR with a trainer for 4 weeks. Their training pay is minimum wage, meaning I'd get paid 9.25 for the 32 hours of orientation and then 9.25 for the hours I am driving with a trainer. Once completed it then goes to 31cpm after I start. Schneider is doing the 80 dollars a day for 3 weeks. Only a week of which is OTR with a trainer. Hm dunno what to do here.

if it is MORE convenient for you to be at Gordon, then do so. But sometimes, convenience does not make a great decision.
