The reason I say put the house deal on hold is because it's going to wipe out what little money you do have saved, that should be money for the truck only, and it's going to add unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation You say you've almost completed the lease purchase deal then you need to focus on that and finish it or you risk losing the truck. I don't even care if buying saves you 50-100$ a week, you're talking peanuts in savings. Moving is stressful and costly I don't think you see that, you will find out. Do one deal first the truck, then the house afterwards. You try to swing both you risk losing all. I have been debt free for over a decade and pay cash for everything... you do what you want but that's how I would do this..
RERM and RedForeman Thank this. -
I never said that we where close to paying the truck off I did say that we know of someone who was close to paying the truck off and was starved out and had to end up suing them at this company but did not find that out until we where months into this. we have only been doing this since july of last year and still have 3 years to deal with this company. Part of the reason we wanted to push this through is that we are buy our house at $30,000 though and estate sale and it has been apprised at $50,000 the plan was to pull equity from the house to pay the truck off and walk away from the trailer and go somewhere else with the truck we have sat down and gone over the numbers and if we make the move to another company that we have been considering we could have the house and the tuck paid off in about 5 years.

I am not say that you are wrong by say what you think. All I am saying is if we have a chance to walk away from this company and take the truck with us why would walk away from the house if that is the one thing that is going to help us walk away to better ourselves. That is the part that I don't quite understand. The only other bills that we have is that house and our truck.

pay off on the truck is $51,000 trailer is $16,900 and it does say that "can pay off loan at anytime without penalty's"
-
If you have only had the truck for a few months, why the dead set mindset on keeping it?
Still say go buy a truck from a dealer where some sleezebag carrier cant tell you what to do.
Just my .02

because with payments and all repairs that we have put into the truck amounts to about $14,000 since july of last year it is a 2005 peterbuilt 379 with a C15 and just had a in frame done on it in April last year. And as for buying a different truck we have talk to our banker and is highly considering loaning us money to pay it off and take it somewhere else hopefully. We are supposed to sit down with him this weekend and talk about all the expenses we estimate to run the truck and all the good stuff so if things go well we might know something this weekend as to what we can do if we can not do that then we plan on trying to get another truck or go to driving for a company again and not have all the headaches for O/O and try it again later on.

As I stated earlier if we can pull it off and do both the plan is to have them paid off in 5 years as long as very thing goes as planned but as we all know nothing ever goes as planned if we cant do both we plan to do what we can do and hopefully have the house paid off in 2-3 years. The thing is I am reading everything you guys (or ladies if any besides me) are saying and REST assured I am taking everything being said into consideration. And some of you (rolling coil) make perfect since and are far beyond my WISENESS. My daddy would be kicking my but for not listing to what you guys are telling us to do.

Uhm, like the house...were not telling the co that we're trip leasing..........that's what cardboard is for. I mean if the guy is truly starving you out......just ah hold your cards a little higher and when you dump his load then pick something up on a comcheck and run it. Happens every day.
Good luck -
OKAY thank you I think but I am a little confused on what you mean!!!!
