Datalink is coming from the ECM, the ECM is not receiving anything from your truck.
Do you have a 40 pin diagram? -
Ok gotcha? Thats same thing the guys at CAT told me
Oxbow Thanks this. -
Question: where does the signal from the truck come from? And will not having this zignal from the truck keep the ecm from powering up?
The cat guys saud theres a module of some kind in the truck but i dont see one. And ive never seem one in My n14 classic FL either?Oxbow and Big Road Skateboard Thank this. -

The signal is the ignition supply "keyed on" you mentioned.
I would check all three with a piercing clip and ECM connected, key on.2tonchevy Thanks this. -
Ok,
I have verfied that the hot and grounds are functional with ecm plugged in and key on bu inserting my probe into the baxk of the plug while connectedBig Road Skateboard Thanks this. -
Ive all but ruled out a bad ecm. Its got to be in the truck wiring somewhere...but idk what else to check because i cant fund any more info on how the system works??
-
Ok. Sorry i misunderstood that. If so, the only other thing i could imagine would be a loose or damaged female connector at the harness.
Common on Detroits, not as much on CAT's2tonchevy Thanks this. -
Maybe @wore out has more info, or knows someone
