Our diesel quality sucks. I add special lubrication into diesel to bring it closer to EU standards

I'd just stay away from that garbage BIO-fuels. Those are the worst.
.
Lucas oil has anti-gel and a fuel conditioner that is kinda nice I guess. I'm not much on snake oil..but i'd be curious if these products actually help as much as they do. Most likely the anti-gel treatment is good during very cold weather.

Injectors air locked?
Oh yeah that happened quite a few times.... even new ones out the box. I haven't been so active on this forum, but its very common on the DD injectors to air lock when a massive amount of air is introduced inside the fuel system or when it's not properly primed. There is a secret way of unlocking it before purchasing a six pack......

What's the secret? Because I got robbed $5700 for about two hours of work at the shop. -
just creeped back on here for a bit. rocker arm shaft snapped in three spots while loaded around 115k and driving around 1500rpm. engine had 424k miles on it. so much for detroits strongest engine... they tore the head off, found that I needed an inframe already. They tried blaming the damage on the injectors... As soon as I told them those injectors were installed by them six months prior, they choked and came back saying there was no way it was the injectors... smh. sick and tire of a BS engine that I cant work on myself without special tools or computers.
I tossed the whole truck, bought a Pete with a freshly overhauled C15 for #### near the same price they wanted for the inframe on the Detroit. very happy with my decision! Not happy about still paying payments on a chunk of metal sitting at Freightliner.magoo68 Thanks this. -

Ya, I gave up on trying to figure out what caused it. my theory is with the 4.10 gearing and running at 70mph, it put the rpm around 1700rpm. so with that high rpm on an engine that is better running at lower rpm, it just wore out the engine twice as fast. that's all I can figure out. Or 115k is just to much for that engine. But the Truck is sitting in Cheyenne, WY at that freightliner dealer.
