There were 2 elderly women killed on a street corner, it was a while ago, I think it was in the Bronx, anyway they caught up to the driver on the NJTP, he didn't even know he ran them over, no charges filed, it was an unfortunate accident.

if that was your car getting hit at about the 38-39 second point, looks like you were parked more than 12" from the curbing...your car was sticking out.....had you parked CLOSER to the curbing, this may not have happened.

good luck, but frankly, that video may make you culpable....

How close were you to that corner?
There are setback laws.. and Jersey and the 5 Boroughs are the WORST for people not abiding by them.
They park (or double park) right up on the corner and we can not possibly make our legal turn.
NYPD officers have been known to motion us to roll right over corner huggers. FACT. They just want the traffic to move, and they will punish an illegally parked car. I have had buddy been told to pull his tandems right across a cars hood.

Not saying you were up on the apex.. but stay way back. Parking is at a premium... so is cash for repairs.
